Three villages that have merged into a sprawl of new-build estates and country lanes, all close to Braintree but without much in the way of dedicated dog exercise space. The discovery centre at Great Notley has paths and a lake, but it is busy with families, the "no dogs" zones are confusing, and the open fields adjacent are private farmland with no right of access.
